On Monday evening the
crescent for the month of Dhul Hijjah was searched across observatories in the Kingdom.
The Crescent was not seen
and in an official statement by the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia the Day
Arafat was announced on Thursday, 30 May:
"On Tuesday the month of Dhul Qadah will complete 30 days and on Thursday, 30 July the day of
Arafat will be observed"
