His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Abdul
Rahman Al-Hudhaifi, Imam and Khateeb of Masjid Al Nabawi, delivered the Friday
sermon on 2 Muharram 1442, in which he mentioned that “Be among the people of
insight and faith and follow the paths of people of goodwill and kindness the
path of Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and act upon
the word of Allah in hope of His reward and fear His punishment.
And he further said
that Allah, Glory be to Him, created creation and made certain rules for the
universe. He made obedience a cause for all good in this world and the
hereafter and made disobedience the cause of all evil in this world and the
hereafter.
His eminence affirmed
that contemplating the creation of Allah is an act of worship by Muslims,
admiring and acting well towards Hus creation increases a Muslim’s faith and
increases his firmness in certainty.
His eminence added
that thinking and accounting for relives ones from unwary suspiciousness
which revives hearts, enlightens insights, and evaluates behavior, and
refraining from thinking and accounting hardens hearts, inherits negligence,
leads to regret and sends us into sin.
He concluded the
sermon by indicating that Allah Almighty condemned those who followed whims and
desires and did not consider and did not
learn through his tidings and Almighty Allah says: “And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter
is a [time of] settlement.”
