His Excellency the General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque Sheikh Professor Dr. Abdul-Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais inaugurated the Digital Guidance System Project.
During the inauguration, His
Excellency was accompanied by His Excellency the Under-General for Projects and
Engineering Studies, Eng. Sultan Al-Qurashi, His Excellency the Under-General
of the President for Technical and Service Affairs, Professor Muhammad
Al-Jabri, and His Excellency the Under-General of the President for Scientific
and Intellectual Affairs, Dr. Nasser Al-Zahrani.
The digital advisory system project
includes 74 digital screens of various sizes according to the nature of the
place of their installation and 50 screens have been installed with optical
fibers linked to the control room to ensure the security of the content and the
ease of adding or modifying the content from one place at any time remotely,
and work is being done to supply and install 24 Digital screens with its
connection to the control room.
Sheikh Al-Sudais stressed raising
awareness in the health, security, and scientific aspects, guidelines for entry
and exit from the parking lot, and support for the management plan to disperse
crowds, by transmitting short and targeted messages in those aspects and in
several languages, through the advanced digital screens that were implemented
throughout the Grand Mosque and the surrounding squares.
