The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque began the seasonal maintenance of the Holy Kabah Kiswah and maintenance work will continue for five days, in preparation for the blessed month of Ramadan.
Maintenance
work is being carried out by 14 technicians, accompanied by a quality monitor
and a health specialist, belonging to the General Presidency of the King
Abdulaziz Complex for the Holy Kabah, exhibitions and museums, and the
Occupational Safety and Health Unit.
His
Excellency the Director of the Maintenance Department for the Kabah covering
supervising the Grand Mosque, Mr. Fahd bin Hadid Al-Jaber, stated that the
maintenance work began by loosening the cloth and tightening it from all sides,
installing a plain black cloth under the golden rings in the Shaterwan, and
changing the frame of the black stone and the frame of the Yemeni corner
hand-embroidered with silver-coated wires.
