Madinah installs Sterilization Gates at Masjid Al Nabawi and completes restoration work

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques- Madinah division has installed experimental Sterilization gates at entrances of Masjid Al Nabawi, Madinah on Monday, 18 May 2020. They were installed days after similar gates were also installed at the Grand Mosque in Makkah

The Spokesperson said that these gates were currently experimental and if proven to be effective, will be expanded at other gates and areas of Masjid Al Nabawi.

    The Qibla wall of Masjid Al Nabawi which is part of the Uthman (May Allah be pleased with Him) Expansion was under restoration work which was completed this Ramadan.   The restoration work was said to be conducted after a period of 170 years, the Quran shelves and wooden structure were removed and it was restored to its original state. The inscriptions on the wall consists names of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him) and various other designs which were part of the original wall.  

 We also were able to obtain exclusive footage from the courtyard and inside of Masjid Al Nabawi, Madinah
