‘Quran and Emaan’

An inevitable result of reading the Book of Allah with contemplation is having one’s Eman strengthened and increased by the knowledge it contains. In the Qur’an, one finds out that there is a Supreme Sovereign whose authority he is under. That Sovereign owns all dominion, deserves all praise, and controls all things. He is above His Throne, nothing throughout His dominion is ever concealed from Him, He knows everything within the souls of His servants, He is completely aware of everything they conceal, He sees and hears, He gives and withholds, He rewards and punishes, and He honors and humiliates. He creates, provides, gives life, causes death, preordains things, brings things into being, and regulates absolutely everything. He counsels His servants, and He directs them to what brings them success and happiness. He urges them to do what is good for them and He warns them against all that ultimately ruins them.

He makes Himself known to them by way of His names and attributes. He makes Himself beloved to them by way of His favors and blessings. He reminds them of His blessings and instructs them to do what allows them to attain even further blessings. He warns them against His torment. He reminds them of the rewards He has prepared for those who obey Him, as well as the punishment He has prepared for those who disobey Him. He calls people to the abode of salvation, and He reminds them of its blessings and beauty. He also warns them against the abode of destruction, and He reminds them of its torment, repulsiveness, and pain. He reminds His servants about how much they need Him in every way, and the fact that they cannot do without Him for even the blink of an eye.

He mildly disciplines those who are beloved to Him, pardons their errors, forgives their misdeeds, defends them, supports them, rescues them from every adversity, and fulfils His promise to them. He is their true Guardian Lord who supports them against all who oppose them.
