What is Salat Al Istisqa?
Istisqa Prayer is one of the Sunnah Prayers offered by Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) during times of drought, famine or during intense heat. The Prayer Consists of Two Rakats and is started with seven takbirs in the first Rakah, and six takbirs in the second. The Imam usually recites Surah Al Aala and Surah Ghasiya respectively in each Rakahs. After the Salah, the Imam delivers a Sermon and in the end offers dua, as per Sunnah wearing their Abaya (Robes) inside out.
