‘Maintaining on acts of worship after Ramadan’

The month of Ramadan has passed. A month which Allah the Almighty made it one of the greatest seasons of worship and the greatest field of good. Whoever did good in them and became from those who Allah granted success to do acts of obedience, let him know that it is not the only season of working hard and whoever fall short or wronged, let him rush for repentance that completes his shortcomings.

Granting success to do acts of obedience is a favor that must be thanked by maintaining it. Accepting the acts of obedience have signs, i.e. whoever sees himself rushing to do acts of obedience after Ramadan, his heart is open for them and doing more, this is a clear proof that Allah wants good for him and his righteousness.  Show Allah from yourselves good after every season of worship and beware from leaving them off, weary (from doing acts of obedience) for Allah never grows weary (of giving rewards) unless you grow weary (of doing good deeds), and the best deed in His sight is that which is done regularly even if it was little. Whoever taste the sweetness of performing acts of obedience in Ramadan and his heart filled with submission, and humility towards his Lord, he should seek refuge in Allah from adverse conditions replacing good ones, heedlessness after being heedful, and nothing more severe than the humility of committing sins after the honour of performing acts of obedience.

From Allah’s favour upon the servant that he grant him success to maintain his fast and praying the night prayer after Ramadan, then follow it with six days of Shaw’al due the Prophet’s hadeeth peace and blessings be upon him: “Whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal will be (rewarded) as if he had fasted the entire year.” Related by Muslim, Also, he fasts the three days from every month (13, 14, and 15), Monday and Thursday, Arfa’h for non pilgrims, the tenth of Muharram and other times.

Extracts from the Friday Khutbah His Eminence Shaykh Dr from the Prophet’s Mosque

The Prophet peace and blessing be upon him said: ” Who amongst you is fasting today? Abu Bakr said: I am. He (again) said: Who amongst you followed a funeral procession today? Abu Bakr said: I did. He (the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him) again said: Who amongst you served food to the needy? Abu Bakr said: I did. He (again) said: Who amongst you has today visited the sick? Abu Bakr said: I did. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Anyone in whom (these good  deeds) are combined will certainly enter  paradise.” Time and place do not honor anyone that does not do acts of worship and be upright internally and externally. As for performing many acts of worship without having a sound heart and submissive soul do not benefit the servant and the sound one who is keen on maintaining the righteousness of his heart at all times and check his secrets acts at all times. The servant is rewarded for the good intention even on his eating, drinking, and sleeping and become one act of obedient (due to that) many. Months, years, nights, and days are measures of the time and acts of worship. Then it passes by fast and the one who founded them is the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence the One who witnesses and observes the deeds of His slaves. As for every moment without worshiping his Lord is a great loss for the slave and every hour without remembering Allah will be great regret and sorrow in the day of judgment. The Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said: “your body has a right over you, your eye has a right over you, your spouse has right over you and your guests has a right over you.
