Supreme Court Calls for sighting of Ramadan Crescent

The Supreme Court called for investigating the sighting of the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on the evening of Sunday, the twenty-ninth of the month of Sha`ban according to the Umm al-Qura calendar, and to inform the nearest court of those who see it with the naked eye or through binoculars.

This came in a declaration of the Supreme Court, which reads as follows:

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions, and after:

 In view of the contents of the Supreme Court Resolution No. 143 / H and the date of 3/8/1442 AH according to the Umm al-Qura calendar, that no one witnessed the sighting of the crescent of the month of Shaban on the evening of Saturday the twenty-ninth of the month of Rajab for the year 1442 AH due to dusty weather at most of the observatory atmosphere that night, and based on it and on the previous orders and instructions, following the guidance of the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace;  The Supreme Court in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia wishes to all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on the evening of Sunday the twenty-ninth of the month of Sha`ban according to the Umm al-Qura calendar.  Umm Al-Qura, the twenty-ninth of the month of Sha’ban, according to the aforementioned Supreme Court decision, based on Royal Order No. 1829 dated 7/1/1433 AH, which stipulates monitoring the eligibility of the months on the twenty-ninth day that follows.

 The Supreme Court asks whoever sees it with the naked eye or through binoculars to inform the nearest court, record his testimonies to it, or contact the nearest center to help him reach the nearest court.

 The court hopes for those who have the ability to show interest in the matter, join the committees formed in the regions for this purpose, and calculate the reward and reward by participating in it because of the cooperation in righteousness and piety, and the benefit of all Muslims.

Allah is the Grantor, and may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his family and companions.
