Umrah Visa Fee Revision

Earlier this year, the Saudi Government set a 2000 SR visa fee on pilgrims who intended to perform Umrah more than once. The news brought mixed reviews from the Muslim Communities in which majority were against the fee set.

A few days ago the Government modified some of the conditions:

1) A pilgrim can receive a Umrah visa free of cost in one calendar year (Example: 1 Muharram 1438- 1 Muharram 1439)

2) If a pilgrim wishes to perform more than one per calendar year, he will need to pay 2000 SR  for his visa to be stamped.

3) GCC Citizens and Saudi Residents (Expats) are exempted from the fee and can perform Umrah whenever they like in a calendar year
