The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah a few days ago announced the procedure of the performance of Umrah for pilgrims who have arrived from abroad.
1. Check if you
are not in the 20 countries from where Travel is suspended.
Saudi Arabia with relevant data from the Ministry of Health imposed a
travel ban from 20 countries in February where COVID-19 situation has been deemed
unsafe. These countries include Argentina, the UAE, Germany, the US, Indonesia,
Ireland, Italy, Pakistan, Brazil, Portugal, the UK, Turkey, South Africa,
Sweden, Switzerland, France, Lebanon, Egypt, India, and Japan.
This means that people residing in these countries cannot travel to the
Kingdom through direct flights. It is however possible in some cases that travelers
transit over an allowed country for 14 days and travel to the Kingdom. It is
best to gain guidance from the Embassy in these countries before planning any
travel.
2. Producing
Mandatory Vaccination Certificate
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has said that it is mandatory for
pilgrims to produce a vaccination certificate which is approved by the Word
Health Organization.
3. Book your trip
with an authorized Agent
One of the conditions imposed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah was that
‘individual Umrah’ (Booked by self) remains suspended, one can book their trips
through authorized agents picked by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah
4. Arrive in
the Kingdom and spend 3 days in Quarantine.
Three Days quarantine is a mandatory requirement after arrival in the
Kingdom
5. Get Umrah
permit
Book Umrah permit using the government-approved application ‘Eatmarna’
6. Arrive at
Inaya (Care) Center 6 hours before Umrah.
For verification of the status of their vaccination, assigning digital
wristbands,
7. Arrive at Al
Shubaika Assembly Center
Present bracelets upon arrival at the Al-Shubaika Assembly Center to
verify the data and permits and abide by the date and time assigned to them to
perform Umrah. From here the pilgrims will be transported to Masjid Al Haram
for the performance of Umrah
