Sheikh Baleelah Appointed Khateeb of Hajj 2021

By Royal Decree, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz appointed Sheikh Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Baleelah as Khateeb for delivering the Hajj Sermon on Monday, 9 Dhul Hijjah 1442

Biography of Sheikh Bandar Baleelah:

Sheikh Bandar bin Abdulaziz bin Siraj bin Abdul Malik Baleelah was born in 1395 corresponding to 1975 in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and studied in its schools. He obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Islamic jurisprudence from Umm Al-Qura University in 1422 and then obtained a doctorate in Fiqh in 1429 from the Islamic University in Madinah.

On the fourth of Dhu al-Hijjah 1434, a royal order was issued appointing him as an official imam in the Grand Mosque on a permanent basis after leading as Guest Imam for Taraweeh in the same year, and he also holds the position of assistant professor at Taif University in addition to his work as an Imam and Khateeb at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

In the month of Safar of the year 1441, a royal order was issued appointing him as a Khateeb for the Grand Mosque, and in the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal of the year 1442, a royal order was issued appointing Sheikh Bandar Baleelah as a member of the Council of Senior Scholars.
