Hajj Khutbah to be translated into 14 languages

MAKKAH: The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques undertakes the project to translate the annual Hajj Khutbah delivered at Namirah Mosque in Arafat, Makkah

As Hajj is the main Islamic Event of the year, millions of Muslim tune into to listen and benefit from the Hajj Khutbah.

The Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques for years had begun translating and transmitting the Arafat Khutbah into various languages and reached up to 10 languages last year.

Upon popular demand, the President General Sheikh Abdur Rahman As Sudais directed to add 4 new languages to the Translation Service. The Khutbah will be translated and transmitted simultaneously in 14 languages when the Khutbah will be delivered on Friday afternoon.

The languages in which the Khutbah will be translated in English, French, Malay, Urdu, Persian, Russian, Chinese, Bengali, Turkish, Hausa

New languages added this year: Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, Swahili
