The carpets of the Prophet’s Mosque are among the luxurious Saudi carpets of high quality, which is characterized by the inclusion of an electronic chip on each carpet, where it is read by means of RFID, which is linked to an electronic system that contains information about the carpet since its manufacture, use, location and washing times, counting the numbers of carpets and identifying each sample individually from By printing the item’s data on a digital coding “barcode”, which allows tracking the carpets with ease and knowing the full details of the carpet movement processes inside the Prophet’s Mosque and its courtyards.

The agency pays special attention to the carpets in the old Haram due to the large number of visitors and worshipers in it, as it is given special care in accordance with the periodic plans implemented by the Department of Disinfection and Carpets. These efforts come within the developmental work that the Agency provides to the Prophet’s Mosque to improve the services provided in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and to overcome all obstacles and to facilitate visitors to perform their worship with ease and ease.
