Some weeks back the GPH had proposed plans to install Umbrellas in the Mataaf Area of Masjid Al Haram but it was never confirmed. However yesterday many social media pages had announced that the Umbrellas have arrived to be installed in the Mataaf once the Temporary Bridge had been Removed.

Eight of these largest umbrellas will be installed in the King Abdullah Expansion of Masjid Al haram followed by fifty four small ones outside the other Extensions

 However the News is a hoax, as no Umbrellas will be installed in the Mataaf Area ( As it is not Confirmed yet). The Umbrellas which have arrived were a part of the original expansion plan to be installed in the King Abdullah Extension’s courtyard of Masjid Al Haram.
